Genie Studio Privacy Policy

Genie Studio (“Genie”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Geniestudio, Inc., registered at 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States (Delaware file number 10317110). This policy explains what we collect when you use geniestudio.app and our apps (the “Service”), including when you connect social accounts such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

1. Information we collect
Account information. Name, email address, password (hashed) or sign-in provider ID, team and workspace details.
Content you create. Prompts, brand settings (colours, tone of voice, logos), generated images and videos, collections, comments and feedback.
Payment information. Billing is processed by our payment provider; we receive plan, status and the last four digits of a card, never the full card number.
Usage and device data. Log data, IP address, browser type, pages viewed and actions taken, collected via cookies and analytics (including Google Tag Manager).
Data from connected social accounts. Only if you choose to connect an account, and only the permissions you approve:

We do not read your private messages, followers’ personal data, or content you didn’t create or publish through Genie. We do not post anything without your instruction.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate and improve the Service, including generating visuals and publishing them to accounts you connect.
- To communicate with you about your account, security and support.
- To process payments and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use data obtained from Instagram, Facebook or TikTok for advertising, profiling, data brokering, or to train AI models. Platform data is used only to provide the features you requested, in line with the Meta Platform Terms and TikTok Developer Terms.
3. Sharing
We share data only with: service providers who host or process data for us (e.g. cloud hosting, AI model providers for generating images from your prompts, payment and email providers) under contract; the social platforms you direct us to publish to; and authorities where required by law. If Genie is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may transfer under this policy.
4. Retention
- Account data and content: kept while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Social access tokens and connected-account data: kept only while the account is connected; deleted within 30 days (usually immediately) after you disconnect or revoke access on the platform.
- Logs and analytics: up to 12 months.
- Billing records: as long as required by tax law (typically 6 years).
5. Deleting your data
You can disconnect any social account in Settings → Connected accounts, delete your account in Settings → Account, or email david@geniestudio.app with the subject “Data deletion request”. You can also remove Genie from Instagram/Facebook (Settings → Apps and Websites) or TikTok (Settings → Security → Manage app permissions). Full instructions: https://geniestudio.app/data-deletion.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and access tokens are stored encrypted. Access is limited to staff who need it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK/EU GDPR and Nigeria’s NDPA), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact david@geniestudio.app. You may also complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
8. International transfers
Data may be processed outside your country. Where required we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Children
The Service is not for people under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes
We’ll post updates here and notify you of material changes.
